According to the Labour Market and the International standards for offshore marine activities, in international waters or abroad, the ROV pilot must have certain requirements for being engaged in ROV missions.
There are three groups of requirements:
technical skills
security and emergency management skills, which vary depending on the geographical context in which the ROV pilot operates.
holding medical/health requirements
Every nation, company and contractor requires the possession of various combinations of these requirements.
In terms of competence assurance, the course meets the IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) standards and ensures the competence for this position: ROV Pilot/TecnicianGrade II, that is:

The course also issues the LOG-BOOK IMCA, useful to attest the competences and it is officially recognized by most contractors.
